Route Planning
Nashik is well connected by rail, air, and road. Here's how to plan your journey for the Kumbh Mela.
By Rail
Nashik Road Railway Station (station code: NK)
The main rail gateway to Nashik, well connected to Mumbai, Pune, and major national routes. The main state (MSRTC) bus stand is about a 1-minute walk from the station exit, and auto-rickshaw stands are right outside the main entrance.
By Air
Gandhinagar Airport, Nashik (airport code: ISK)
Nashik's own airport, with a bus stand roughly 3 km away — plan for a short cab or auto ride to onward transport.
By Bus
MSRTC state bus stands (Nashik Road, Nashik Mahamarg) & NMC Citilinc city buses
Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) runs long-distance state buses into Nashik Road and Nashik Mahamarg bus stands. Within the city, Nashik Municipal Corporation's Citilinc network covers local routes. During past Kumbh Melas, MSRTC has run dedicated shuttle fleets connecting the railway station, bus stands, and Trimbakeshwar directly for pilgrims.

Parking & Getting Around
Designated Mela parking zones
During the Kumbh Mela, expect dedicated overflow parking areas and traffic diversions near the main ghats — check for the latest parking advisories closer to the Shahi Snan dates, as vehicle access near Ramkund and Trimbakeshwar is typically restricted on peak bathing days.
